The Transcona Historical Museum Builders' Fund was established by the Board of Directors in 1992. The purpose of the fund is to obtain donations to facilitate the undertaking of museum projects through the purchase of new display materials, conservation supplies, education and public programming materials, promotional equipment and other materials required to support specialized projects. Support of the fund ensures that the Museum will continue to preserve our community's history for the benefit of future generations.
In 2011, the Rotary Club of Transcona and the Transcona Historical Museum are selling a 2011-2012 Lottery Calendar. Monies raised go toward the covering of Transcona's first steam locomotive and the Museum Builders' Fund.
Calendars cost $20 each and have more than 320 opportunities to win from September 2011 to December 2012! The best part: if your name is drawn, it is re-entered into the draw.
