About the event

All Aboard! Discover CN 2747, Transcona’s historic steam locomotive. Step into the enclosure for a closer look, with museum staff and volunteers available to share insights on its history and preservation. Whether you’re a train lover or just looking for a fun outing, visiting CN 2747 is sure to be an enjoyable experience for everyone!


The CN 2747 enclosure is wheelchair, walker, and stroller accessible by footpaths (paved and gravel) in Rotary Heritage Park. There is a concrete pad that surrounds CN 2747 within the enclosure so visitors can view the steam locomotive up close. Visitors can access the locomotive’s cab by a single staircase. Please note that visitors cannot walk or climb onto other sections of CN 2747 or the enclosure structure.


Staff and volunteers will be onsite to share knowledge and answer questions. No registration is required!
