Draw inspiration from the Transcona Museum collections – join us for Sketch Saturdays. Each session we will bring out different museum objects for participants to draw. We will have 6 seats available, and participants are welcome to attend the whole session or drop-in anytime during program hours. This is not a drawing class but a space to creatively observe and sketch museum objects.

Please note: We encourage you to bring your own supplies, but basic drawing materials like pencils and paper will be available. No wet medias (paint, ink, etc.). Bring headphones if you enjoy your own music or want to block distractions. No food or drinks in the museum galleries, thank you.

Join us for some Valentine’s crafting fun and games! Make your own handmade decorations and cards for family and friends. Seating is limited to 8 spots for each session (pre-registration required). Tickets will be available on our website in late January.

Enjoy activities year-round with the Transcona Museum! Have fun at the museum while enjoying crafts, games, and scavenger hunts. These events are seasonal and include Valentine's Day, Spring Break, Manitoba Day, Halloween, and the Winter Holidays. Ticket prices (where applicable) include all craft-making supplies.

Join us for Craft with Us at the Transcona Museum. Create crafts related to the theme of the week and Transcona's history! 

 

There are three timeslots available, and each timeslot is 45 minutes. Seating is limited to 8 spots for each session (pre-registration required). A parent or guardian must accompany children if they are under 12 years of age. The museum is a mask-friendly space for visitors!

Cost: $1.00 per booklet

Explore the community of Transcona! KidsQuest is a scavenger hunt that guides our visitors around Transcona to discover historical landmarks (like CN 2747) and challenge them with activities and questions at each stop. Spend a day or the whole summer completing the quest - it's up to you! All participants have the chance to be entered into the Grand Prize draw.
